Scaling Endemic Advertising

The Challenge

JamBase wanted to grow endemic advertising revenue and expand beyond a narrow set of repeat partners, without compromising audience trust or editorial integrity.

My Approach

I designed and launched new advertising solutions across social, sponsored content, newsletters, and on-site placements while expanding into music-adjacent brands. In parallel, I partnered closely with editorial to broaden coverage beyond our traditional audience into genres like EDM and country, opening the door to new promoters, venues, and festivals as well as logos including SeatGeek, SiriusXM, and brand partners like MLB and NHL.

The Result

These efforts helped drive over $1M in annual advertising revenue for the first time in JamBase's history, and sustain that level year-over-year. In total, they supported more than 1,300 campaigns and over 200% growth in endemic advertising revenue, with many partners returning annually. Strong, ongoing account management - regular performance reviews, campaign optimization, and proactive relationship building - turned one-time activations into multi-year partnerships.

Launching a Data Product

The Challenge

JamBase had a large, valuable music dataset and early licensing interest, but the data product lacked clear positioning, packaging, and a cohesive go-to-market approach.

My Approach

I stepped in from the partnerships side to re-ground the product in real customer needs. Drawing on earlier experience working within SaaS-based music licensing and publishing data at MediaNet, I spoke directly with potential data users to understand use cases, pain points, and willingness to pay. This surfaced gaps around segmentation, pricing, and accessibility, which informed a tiered offering and clearer GTM narrative.

The Result

Over 11 months, this reset supported 14 new data licensing deals across global ticketing platforms, higher education (including Cornell and the University of Warwick), hobbyist developers, and other partners - re-establishing momentum and expanding how JamBase data could be activated beyond advertising.
